Keep up the Fight!

Keep up the fight! This is a call to action on COVID-19.

More, we are taking steps to remind everyone that this is a key time. We are in the process of launching multiple efforts. And to support our “Keep up the Fight” campaign.

Our work protects health and saves lives. Health messages are key in the fight. And one of the key tools we have to halt the virus is messages. It is also important to reinforce messages with tools and resources.

Vaccinations are Key

Vaccinations is key to halt the pandemic. And the more that receives it, the more lives that will saved.  That is because they not only protect the vaccinated individual, but also everyone they come in contact with as well.

It is our goal to strongly support this important effort.

In the United  States, everyone 12 and older is eligible to receive the vaccine.  More, there is no cost.

Vaccines are safe. And they are effective. More, even though there are reported “breakthrough cases”, vaccinations substantially reduce symptoms.  And often breakthrough cases have no or minimal symptoms.

No vaccine is 100% effective against preventing infection. And researchers expect there to be cases even after a person is fully vaccinated. You are considered fully vaccinated two weeks after you receive the last dose.

Roll up your sleeve! Time to get vaccinated.

Our guide focuses on vaccinations in current use in the United States.  And it provides only general information.  Please consult a physician with specific medical issues, including known allergies.

Masks are still Key

Masks are key. And they play a key role in halting the pandemic.

And if you were vaccinated, you will still need to follow the key steps for different reasons. Experts need to learn more about the protection that  vaccines provide under real-life conditions. Other factors contribute to this, too. And this includes how many people get vaccinated and how the virus is spreading in communities.

Here is why. If you had the virus, you can get a different variant of it. This has happened to many worldwide.

The Fight: Masks and Face Coverings are Key

Children and others are currently not eligible for the vaccine. And for them, masks are still key. We underscore that here.

Masks are Key: They Telegraph a Key Health Message

A mask is a health message. Wearing one telegraphs an important health message. First, a mask reminds the person wearing it that the virus is serious.  And second, it also reminds others of the same message, too. Please set a positive example. And wear a mask.

Masks are Key: They Protect the Person Wearing it

Masks protect us from the virus.  This is key. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has included this message in its publications.

Masks are Key: They Protect others, too

Masks also protect others. It can be days before symptoms appear. Yet, you could still spread it. Also, some people carry the virus but never experience symptoms themselves.

Some are substituting face shields for masks. This is a mistake.

Keep up the Fight!

Protect health, save lives. Health messages are key. Please support our work.
