Ongoing Support

Ongoing support is key to ending the pandemic. Here, we discuss how we approach this.

Prevention is the only way to stop the virus.  And that is all we do: We roll up our sleeves and work to get people to take key steps.  More, we encourage those who know what to do to keep doing it.  And we use different methods to reach those that are not, too. But we are not a big organization.  Yet, we have impact.

Stopping the pandemic requires a robust effort.  And to achieve this, we are broadening our footprint to reach many more. That is, we have several immediate goals and projects.

First, we use our website. Online tools and resources are critical for ongoing support. And they also support change. Moreover, we design, build and manage them.

Accurate data and messages are key. And this is especially true when they come from government agencies. Since the beginning of the pandemic, we have lobbied both federal and state agencies. And this has been both to adopt key messages and to improve data reporting.

Second, updated news and information is key. And on our homepage, we publish a newsfeed dedicated exclusively to COVID-19. And many of the topics are exclusive. Separately, we also support professionals working in the field to spread messages, too.

Providing accurate health information is key. And we were the first nonprofit in North America develop a campaign. More, our work continues today.

Today, we are working to launch several national campaigns. And in part, is to provide ongoing support and for vaccinations.

We first prepared handout literature in December, 2019. And we continue creating it today. Moreover, this is critical in specific isolated regions and communities.

Separately, in January 2020, we began a push to encourage wearing masks as a preventative measure.

Starting in January 2020, we began conducting surveys to determine the level of mask compliance. Thus, this data are key to determine where to focus resources. More, it accurately predicted vaccination rates.

It takes a broad effort to halt the virus. Thus, found here are some of our programming efforts. And more are in development, too.

Future Program

In the future, our COVID-19 focus will continue. And one of our key goals is to support longterm research.  Consequently, our support will continue for many years. And it is key to preventing the next pandemic.
