Covid literacy is key to halting the virus. And it is our primary focus.
We help fight misconceptions. And we do this by providing current facts that are easy to understand and digest.
Effective health messages are critical. And they protect health and save lives. More, we help to create and spread these powerful messages. But we also take an extra step: Namely, we provide smart tools and resources to support them, too.
Moreover, our primary goal is to provide clear guidance. That is, with regard to both the science and public health surrounding the virus.
What is health literacy?
Some general goals of health literacy include:
- Emphasize people’s ability to use health information rather than just understand it
- Second, focus on the ability to make “well-informed” decisions rather than “appropriate” ones
- Third, incorporate a public health perspective, too
- Last, acknowledge that organizations have a responsibility to address health literacy
Following is a talk that looks at this:
We support Covid literacy with several programs . And they employee several strategies.
COVID-19 Literacy Efforts:
An overview of our main COVID-19 literacy efforts

Vaccinations
We believe vaccinations is key to ending the pandemic. And they are safe and highly effective. More, they impact everyone.

Masks are Key
In January, 2020, we began our effort to promote masks as a safeguard against the virus. And to support this, we launched an effort to hand out masks. More, we also launched a survey effort on mask compliance.
Even for the vaccinated, masks are still key. And more, others are not eligible for the vaccine. And for them, masks are critical. Therefore we continue to support this key strategy.

Prevention is Key
To support Covid literacy, we broadly support other key steps, too. That is, with community efforts, web tools and more.

COVID-19 Uninsured Benefits
To protect everyone, it is critical that health services are accessible to everyone. And to support this, a program for the uninsured has been established. Moreover, it pays service providers directly for key health services. And it covers consultations, testing, treatment, vaccination and emergency transport. However, many are unaware that it exists. In this case, Covid literacy encourages everyone to receive help.

COVID-19 Testing
Testing is still key to halting the virus. And this includes for those that are vaccinated or are between doses. Thus, we support this with powerful tools and more.
COVID-19 Focus
It takes a broad effort to halt the virus. Thus, found here are some of our programming efforts. And more are in development, too.

Today, our only focus is on the pandemic. And we achieve this with multiple programs including community out-reach, campaigns and other support efforts, too.
HealthMessages.org
First, “Health” relates to public health, safety and security. And it can include issues such as cybersecurity. Second, “Messages” is a mandate to provide a wide spectrum of information to promote health literacy. But it can include activities such as providing critical safety supplies. Last, “Org” means that we are a nonprofit 501(c(3). Thus, we are here to support public health and promote health literacy efforts.
