Here is a short video titled the COVID-19 delta variant explained. And it examines why it is so concerning.

Dr. Lorena Garcia is a professor of epidemiology at the UC Davis School of Medicine. In this short video, she explains why the delta variant took root so quickly. And why it is different than earlier variants.

Over a month ago, we issued a red alert regarding the new variant. And we warned that it would soon become the dominant strain. More, the most recent data demonstrates that the strain is quickly spreading.

This short video provides an overview of the delta variant:

Vaccines are key in the fight against the pandemic; and they provide protection from the delta variant, too.

How to get Vaccinated

There are many options. And many drug stores, Walmart and others provide the vaccine at no cost. Here are some methods:

Walk Right In!

Today, many stores and clinics offer walk-in service. And an appointment is not necessary.

Schedule by Phone

Call a clinic directly. Or call the scheduling hotline to set it up. The phone number is 800-232-0233. And it covers all 50 states.

Schedule Online

Another alternative is to schedule online via a nationally linked portal. It is found at Vaccines.gov.
