The surge in COVID-19 cases is being called a pandemic of the unvaccinated. And the delta variant is a key factor.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director in a press briefing on Friday dubbed the recent uptick a “pandemic of the unvaccinated”. And there is a simple reason for this: nearly all new cases are in unvaccinated people.
Moreover, the uptick is largely due to the delta variant. It was first found in India. And researchers have proven it spreads much faster and easier than other strains.
And as we warned on June 22: a single dose of a vaccine is not enough to protect you. Thus, it is ideal to receive both doses as soon as possible.
Vaccines are key in the fight. And they save lives.
How to get Vaccinated
There are many options. And many drug stores, Walmart and others provide the vaccine at no cost. Here are some methods:
Walk Right In!
Today, many stores and clinics offer walk-in service. And an appointment is not necessary.
Schedule by Phone
Call a clinic directly. Or call the scheduling hotline to set it up. The phone number is 800-232-0233. And it covers all 50 states.
Schedule Online
Another alternative is to schedule online via a nationally linked portal. It is found at Vaccines.gov.
