Long-Covid Biomarkers

Researchers found Long-Covid Biomarkers. And it could lead to better treatments.

“Long Covid” or “Post Covid” is a condition in which symptoms continue even after someone recovers from it. And the symptoms and severity vary. But some common reported symptoms include fatigue, chronic headaches, fever, depression, pain, and other issues.

We first reported on it on June 1, 2020, after it was first recognized in children. Later, it was recognized in adults, also. In fact, we continue to report on it. And we consider it a priority public health issue.

Now, research shows that it can be predicted by blood biomarkers. Thus, there are measurable differences between those that have recovered from it versus those still impacted by it.

This is a key discovery.

Covid-19 is a vaccine-preventable disease. Protect yourself. And protect others. In fact, vaccines and followup booster shots are a powerful tool to achieve this.
