The official world death toll has crossed 5 million, with about 750,000 in the United States.

The official worldwide death toll from the pandemic has crossed 5 million. But data suggests it is actually higher. 

And it had reached a million by October 1, 2020.

More, the death toll in the United States reached 550,000 by April 19 this year. Moreover, many are now fully or partially vaccinated, but the virus continues to spread. And the delta variant has increased this. 

Since the start of the pandemic, Johns Hopkins University has maintained a website tracking cases.  And it shows both the number of positive cases and fatalities.   

Separately, many are now vaccinated. And the latest data from Bloomberg’s tracking website shows over 5 billion shots have been administered worldwide. 

In the United Stated, over 365 million doses have been given. 

Vaccinations is key. And get both shots as soon as possible.
