70% of American Adults Partially Vaccinated

July vaccine rates

The latest data show 70% of American adults have received at least one COVID-19 vaccination shot. And this will continue to increase.

Moreover, the most recent data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) show over 191 million Americans have received at least one shot. And of those, nearly 165 million are fully vaccinated.

This translates to about 70% of adults being partially vaccinated of which 60% are fully vaccinated.

Most of these vaccinations occurred in just a few months. And that was March to May, 2021.

The early vaccine drive targeted Americans 65 and older. And the data show this effort was effective. Today, nearly 90% of this age group have received at least one shot. And over 80% of seniors are fully vaccinated.

However, disparities exist. Some states have a significantly higher vaccination rate. More, data also shows that some groups and age brackets have a higher vaccination rate than others.

The COVID-19 Delta Variant

On June 22, we issued a red alert on the delta variant.

The alert targeted those that received the first shot of a two-part vaccination. But they have delayed getting the second one.

But now there is a recent and urgent development.

A powerful virus variant now dominates in the United States. It is known as the Delta variant. And early data indicates that a single vaccine dose limits protection. And a second dose offers much more protection. Therefore, getting both doses is key. So please do not wait.

Experts have identified it as a variant of concern. And worldwide, health officials are on red alert.

Vaccines are key. And data clearly show they work. Please get the shot. And also encourage others, too.

How to get Vaccinated

There are many options. And many drug stores, Walmart and others provide the vaccine at no cost. Here are some methods:

Walk Right In!

Today, many stores and clinics offer walk-in service. And an appointment is not necessary.

Schedule by Phone

Call a clinic directly. Or call the scheduling hotline to set it up. The phone number is 800-232-0233. And it covers all 50 states.
