Keeping Schools Safe

Because vaccines are not yet available for younger children, keeping schools safe remains a key topic.

Since early in the pandemic, we have supported health messages and data impacting children and school. Moreover, we remain committed today.

Below is a short video that looks at these cases. It was produced by the World Health Organization, as part of their Science in 5 series.

In part, the video examines: What steps should a school take to keep students and staff safe from COVID-19? What about vaccination? How can families and communities keep themselves safe as schools reopen?

One of the key methods to protect children is to get people vaccinated. And that is because vaccines protect is and others, too. Vaccines are safe. And they are effective. More, even though there are reported “breakthrough cases”, they substantially reduce symptoms.
