Aid for Long COVID-19 Patients

Today, aid for long Covid-19 cases was announced. And it comes at a key time.

In fact, the condition is known as “long Covid” or “post-Covid”. And one recent study found that 14% of infected individuals experienced effects 12 weeks after initial infection. More, it is not known how long they last.

Symptoms vary and may include: fatigue, chronic headaches, fever, depression, pain, a loss of taste and smell, difficulty thinking, a racing heart and many others issues.

We began reporting on it on June 1, 2020. Moreover, we continue to monitor it today.

One significant issue is health coverage and support. But the announcement today addresses that, providing long-term resources.

The aid also will help children, too.

Today, COVID-19 is a vaccine-preventable disease. Moreover, everyone 12 or older in the United States can now get a free vaccine regardless of their immigration or health insurance status.

Vaccines are safe.  And they are effective. Also, while some “breakthrough cases”  do occur, they curb their symptoms.
