Q3 Start, Vaccination Review

As we enter Q3, this is a vaccination review for the end of the second quarter, 2021.

As the above graph illustrates, the second quarter saw a large number of vaccinations.

The latest data from the CDC shows over 180 million Americans got their first shot, of which, nearly 160 million are fully vaccinated.

Moreover, this translates to over 67% percent of adults being partially vaccinated of which 58%+ are fully vaccinated.

Most of these vaccinations occurred in just a few months. And that was March to May, 2021.

The early vaccine drive targeted Americans 65 and older. And the data show this effort was effective. Today, over 88% have received at least one shot. And nearly 79% of seniors are fully vaccinated.

However, disparities exist. Some states have a significantly higher vaccination rate. More, data also shows that some groups and age brackets have a higher vaccination rate than others.

Vaccines are key. And data clearly show they work. Please get the shot. And also encourage others, too.
